‘American Hustle’ Interviews: Talking With Christian Bale, Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner

Critics may debate whether 'American Hustle' is good or great (and they are), but one thing even the toughest critic of David O. Russell's 70s crime epic can agree on: the performances are outstanding. Across the board, the likes of Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Jeremy Renner and even Louis CK deliver some of their best work; work that is sure to be recognized this Oscar season.

The man working his magic behind the cameras (and behind the keyboard, doing a "page one rewrite" of the original script by Eric Warren Singer), David O. Russell is known for bringing kinetic and surprising performances out of his actors. Bale won his first Oscar for Russell's 'The Fighter' and Lawrence won her first Oscar for 'Silver Linings Playbook.'

We caught up with Bale, Adams, Renner and Russell to talk about the characters in the film, Russell's "unique" process on set, how Ms. Adams kept her very revealing dresses from falling off, what Jeremy Renner thinks of the 'Avengers 2' script and much more.
