You stay classy, New York because this time around it looks like Ron Burgundy and Co. are headed off for the Big Apple in 'Anchorman 2.'

In an interview with Empire, director Adam McKay talked a bit about the upcoming 'Anchorman 2' and the direction in which the gang is headed. It seems it's time for Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) and friends to change things up a bit. Says McKay:

"San Diego is too close to Ron's heart to go away, but we feel that New York City is the holy grail for all newsmen."

He also reveals that Ron will still be the same Ron we know and love, but he'll definitely be learning some valuable lessons along the way as he copes with the changing news landscape of the late '70s:

"If he wasn't a giant A-hole, everything would be okay. By the end he's got to be a little less of an A-hole, but that's still a little hard for him to do."

And what about Steve Carell's Brick Tamland? Brick will finally find that special lady in Kristen Wiig:

"Brick's so far gone that you can't have a relationship with him. It takes a special someone to get a rope snare around his heart. She is dangerous!"

'Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues' also stars Paul Rudd, David Koechner, Christina Applegate and James Marsden, and hits theaters on December 20.
