If you thought 'Warm Bodies' was an unusual take on the zombie movie genre, then you probably haven't heard of 'Maggie.' The film centers around a dad who's trying to get his zombie daughter to embrace her impending undead transformation. If that didn't sound out of the ordinary to you, just wait -- the dad in question will be played by Arnold Schwarzenegger!

Yes, the same star who's lined up gigs in 'The Expendables 3,' 'Terminator 5' and the new 'Conan the Barbarian' movie has added 'Maggie' to the list.

Based on a report from Variety, the Governator will both star in and produce the title, which follows a father-daughter pair in the midst of a zombie outbreak. Soon, said daughter is exposed to the virus and Arnold must go on a journey to help her "come to terms with her infection." 'Kick-Ass' and 'Carrie' star Chloe Grace Moretz was previously in talks for the lead female role but had to pass due to scheduling conflicts.

'Maggie' is based on the Black List script by John Scott 3 and will be helmed by commercial director Henry Hobbs, who's worked on the crews for 'Snow White and the Huntsman,' 'The Help,' 'Bad Teacher' and 'The Hangover 2.'

So did you get all that? With 'World War Z' hitting theaters with totally mixed reviews and the momentum of 'The Walking Dead' still the same as ever, perhaps it is time Hollywood tries a different approach to zombies -- even if it's as something as potentially cheesy as 'Maggie.' Hopefully it won't turn into the kitschy affair we have pictured in our heads.
