Arnold Schwarzenegger continues to ease back into acting following a lengthy political career. He’s getting his feet wet with standard action fare like ‘Expendables’ installments and the upcoming ‘The Last Stand.’ But the Muscles from Brussels also used to dabble in comedy, and he opened up about plans to do a ‘Twins’ feature during a recent interview.

News broke last week that Schwarzenegger, Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy are loosely attached to a ‘Twins’ sequel that would be called ‘Triplets.’ While details were scarce, Ah-nold reportedly explained to ComingSoon.net about his hopes for a sequel, and they shared a choice quote below.

“We’ve been talking about doing one and it’s called 'Triplets'. I’d find somebody like Eddie Murphy or someone that people would say, 'How does that happen, medically speaking?' and, 'Physically, there’s no way!' Then, somehow, we would explain it. That would be hilarious with what we know about someone like him."

So the idea has been kicked around for some time, even with Murphy’s name attached.

Schwarzenegger continued:

"I can see a poster. A billboard with us three. 'They found another one!' 'Triplets!' 'Only their mother can tell them apart!' I would do that in two seconds, because that’s real entertainment. You come out with that movie for Christmas, like December 5th or something like that, and you’re home free."

He seems very excited about it, pitching taglines and everything. But are you? It does seem like a stretch. And neither actor really has been involved with anything funny in years.

‘Triplets’ is looking for a director and screenwriter. Look for it to reach theaters on Dec. 5, 2013 (if Arnold gets his way).
