Edgar Wright Shares the Music-Themed First Page of the ‘Baby Driver’ Script
If ever there were a reason to look forward to the future, it’s Edgar Wright’s new movie Baby Driver, a musically-driven action movie starring Ansel Elgort, Jamie Foxx, and Jon Hamm. Wright is perhaps more excited for it than the rest of us, and yesterday he shared a couple pages of the script on his Instagram.
The first image is the first page of the script, which consists of a couple quotes about music (which apparently aren’t in the actual movie) and a reminder.
Baby Driver focuses on a man who makes a living as a getaway driver. He’s plagued by tinnitus, which causes a constant ringing in the ears, so he counteracts his condition by constantly listening to music. The soundtrack itself, knowing Wright, is probably going to be excellent, and if the cast isn’t a good enough reason to get hype for the movie, the music sure will be.
He also shared a photo of the cover of the shooting script, courtesy of his brother Oscar, who has worked in the art department as a storyboard designer for Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Hey, that would actually make a great poster.
The titular driver of Baby Driver begins to want out of his life of crime after meeting a nice young waitress named Deborah, played by Lily James. Of course, getting out probably isn’t going to be so easy.
Baby Driver also stars Jon Bernthal, Eiza Gonzalez, and Kevin Spacey, and hits theaters August 11.
