Quantic Dreams will be bringing us their next cinematic, emotionally-charged game, Beyond: Two Souls, to the PlayStation 3 in October. But before you buy, you'll have a chance to try when the demo is released.

A post on the PlayStation Blog features a new behind-the-scenes video that gives us a look at the visuals behind the game, such as how they got the actors' likenesses to be represented accurately in Beyond: Two Souls with the use of scanners.

The post also announces that a demo for Beyond: Two Souls will be rolled out on Oct. 1 on the PlayStation Network. There will also be chances for fans to get access to it on Sept. 24, but the details for that will be announced soon.

According to the post, the demo will feature the following scenes:

  • Jodie & Aiden: Join a very young Jodie as she takes part in an experiment at the Department of Paranormal Activities. As officials put her abilities to the test, you take charge of a mysterious, invisible entity.
  • Hunted: Skip forward a number of years and help Jodie escape the clutches of government agents as the mysterious entity unleashes its truly astonishing powers.
The game will be released on Oct. 8 on the PlayStation 3, so interested parties can play Beyond: Two Souls for a week before they decide to buy it.
