‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Adds ‘Office’ Alum Craig Robinson to Guest
We'd wondered when 'Parks and Recreation' or 'The Office' alum might start showing up on Mike Schur and Dan Goor's 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' and it seems we have an answer. Following the shelving of his own NBC vehicle, 'Office' alum and 'Hot Tub Time Machine 2' star Craig Robinson has been tapped to appear in FOX's fall success story 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine,' but who will he play?
Via Entertainment Weekly, Robinson will take the role of Doug Judy, a small-time criminal who may prove integral to a case that Jake (leading man Andy Samberg) has been investigating for several years. The episode will shoot next week, though it remains unknown if the role has the capacity to recur.
For those not yet tuned into the new series, which recently procured a full-season order and post Super Bowl slot, Samberg’s ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ follows a diverse group of detectives in a precinct at the very edge of New York City. In addition to Samberg as the lead, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ boasts among its cast ‘The Newsroom‘ star Terry Crews, ‘Last Resort‘s’ Andre Braugher, Melissa Fumero and ‘Community‘ and ‘How I Met Your Mother‘ guest Joe Lo Truglio.
