Charlie Brown has given us enough specials for all the best holidays, but did you know the very first Christmas episode came together in a record six months? Or that it served as inspiration for The Grinch and Frosty the Snowman? Charles Schultz’s Peanuts gang actually made their first animated appearances in an early Ford commercial, before Coca-Cola came up with the idea to sponsor a full animated Christmas special. The effort came together from conception to air in only six months, a staggering effort, considering the 13,000 drawings involved.
