'Cloud Atlas' opens Friday, and it's the sort of picture that will have people raving about it, one way or the other. Our own Matt Singer gave it an 8 out of 10, where others are calling it one of the best films of the year. The actors involved seemed to love making it, or at least that's the impression they give in this new featurette.

And in it you can hear Tom Hanks, Halle Berry and others raving about the film, how great it was working with Andy and Lana Wachowski and Tom Tykwer. They also all played multiple roles in the film, with men playing women, Berry playing a white woman, Doona Bae playing a Mexican woman, and more. That, that the actors are playing all different sorts of nationalities and genders, is one of the elements of the film that is going to be a big turn on or off for audiences.

Action, mystery and romance weave dramatically through the story as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero and a single act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution in the distant future.

And here's that featurette. 'Cloud Atlas' opens Friday:
