Considering just how far off 'The Walking Dead' season 3 is compared with some of the other major TV shows to be featured at Comic-Con 2012, AMC sure is being generous with its promotional material.  Not that we're complaining of course!  That's why a look closer at the latest images promoting 'The Walking Dead' season 3 at Comic-Con 2012 might just give away more than we expected...

'The Walking Dead' has unveiled an official poster for its presence at Comic-Con 2012, one which features a distressed Rick Grimes (because when is he not?) flanked by the two most major additions to the show in season 3; Michonne (Danai Gurira) and The Governor (David Morrissey)!  It's likely that the images of all three in character will be re-used or at least utilized within the official promotional campaign for 'The Walking Dead' season 3, which should kick off late this summer.

Still, a closer look at the poster advertising the panel on Friday, July 13 from 1:25 p.m. - 2:25 p.m in Hall H reveals some very suggestive details for those familiar with events of the Image Comics from which the AMC show draws material.

For one, note the helicopter hovering ominously over the Governor's left shoulder.  Fans of the comic will remember that - SPOILER ALERT - a crashing helicopter overhead were what first drew Rick, Glenn and Michonne into the forest surrounding the famous prison, eventually leading them to the Woodbury town that The Governor presided over.

If indeed AMC's version will follow a similar path, it's possible that the helicopter is intended to represent the one Rick first glimpsed in pilot episode "Days Gone Bye," as well as the one that started the mass walker migration that ended on Hershel's farm in season 2 finale "Beside the Dying Fire."

Not to mention, is anyone a little unnerved by The Governor's very specific gesturing, and the parts of Rick we're definitely not seeing on the poster?!  What say you?  Do you see any hidden Easter Eggs in 'The Walking Dead' season 3 Comic-Con 2012 poster?  What are you hoping to see from the panel?
