Warner Bros. Debuts a New ‘Justice League’ Poster at Comic-Con
With rumors swirling that Ben Affleck would be stepping down from his role as Batman after Justice League, I don’t think it’s too much of a stretch to say that Warner Bros. needs to have a big day this weekend at Comic-Con. They need to be prepared to discuss Affleck’s rumors directly - confirming or denying as they see fit - and show off some footage for Justice League that keeps fans excited about the movie, regardless of the rumors circulating around it. Even those who believe that Warner Bros. has charted a new direction for itself with the addition of Joss Whedon and the success of Wonder Woman would admit that the studio has its work cut out for it.
And while one good movie poster isn’t going to fix all of the studio’s problems, hey, you take what you can get, right? The latest poster for Justice League was released this afternoon on the film’s official Twitter account, and I have to admit, it’s a pretty good one. Serious bonus points for its clever use of logos, too. Take a look for yourself:
We’ll know more about the film after today’s panel on Justice League and the DCEU, but for now, let’s enjoy a smart piece of marketing material that will no doubt end up in dorm rooms around the country before long. Sometimes you don’t need a single grand gesture to keep fans exciting about your films; it’s just as important to do a whole bunch of the little things right.
Here’s the full plot synopsis for Justice League:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes — Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash — it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
In addition to Affleck, the film will also star Jason Momoa, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, J.K. Simmons, and Amber Heard. Justice League will hit theaters on November 17, 2017.
