'Community' has long been revered for its out-there genre episodes, though the current season under showrunner David Guarascio and Moses Port has played it somewhat safe across the first half. That will all change this Thursday as "Intro to Felt Surrogacy" sees the Greendale gang re-imagined as puppets, but what does the latest clip from the episode reveal? More than just puppets, the 'Community' cast will be singing once again, backed by musical guest Sara Bareilles!

We already caught a brief snippet of 'Community's' upcoming puppetry-themed episode "Intro to Felt Surrogacy" at the tag of last week's "Herstory of Dance," but it turns out that NBC has yet another major surprise in store. In addition to the news that singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles would put in an appearance, capitalizing on a recurring gag featuring the singer's music, we've learned at least some of the episode will unfold as a musical!

Much like "Regional Holiday Music" the season prior, the 'Community' gang will be getting musical once more, as evidenced by the latest clip from the episode. Also known is that former 'Seinfeld' star Jason Alexander will appear as a mountain man of sorts that encounters the group once their balloon crashes, set up via the clip below.

Watch the Greendale gang go musical in 'Community's' "Intro to Felt Surrogacy," and tell us if you'll watch the latest episode this Thursday in the comments!
