‘Da Vinci’s Demons’ Series Premiere Sneak Peek: Meet Starz’s Newest Historical Hero!

Friday night on Starz will see the conclusion of one hero's journey, and the beginning of another, as the series premiere of historical epic 'Da Vinci's Demons' will immediately follow 'Spartacus: War of the Damned's' series finale event "Victory." We've seen a few trailers of 'Da Vinci's Demons' to date, but are you ready to get up close and personal with Tom Riley's new character in the first clip from the series? At long last, Starz will see the debut of its newest historical hero Leonardo Da Vinci (Tom Riley), as 'Da Vinci's Demons' premieres this Friday April 12. Apart from all the trailers and posters, Starz has seen fit to release the first official clip from the premiere, showing Da Vinci as he makes his home in Florence.

Executive produced by David S. Goyer (‘The Dark Knight,’ ‘Man of Steel‘) ‘Da Vinci’s Demons' tells the unheard tale of Da Vinci’s action-packed youth, as he “sets knowledge free, defies authority and throws himself into the future, forever changing the fate of mankind.” Goyer spoke out about the series some months ago, likening Da Vinci to some of the other superheroes he’d written: “We’ve embellished it with what I’m calling historical fantasy; he had an incredible life and we didn’t have to embellish as much as you’d think,” Goyer said.
