Many people have assumed, mostly because of their close personal and professional relationship, that director J.J. Abrams had invited actor Simon Pegg to make an appearance in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Pegg recently denied those rumors, but in doing so, accidentally confirmed a different actor who does make a surprise appearance in the movie: Daniel Craig.

Pegg was at the premiere for Man Up in London and was asked by The Sun about the rumors that he would be playing a Stormtrooper in The Force Awakens. His reply? “I wasn't a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper,” before very quickly adding, “I shouldn't have said that.”

Before you think that Pegg was just joking, the newspaper confirmed with a Star Wars source who said, “Daniel asked for some sort of secret cameo role [...] Fans will love trying to work out which covered up character is him.”

Well, with Pegg’s assistance, we know at least know to be looking for a Stormtrooper.

Craig is currently back to filming on Spectre after having to take some time off following a knee injury that sent him into surgery. With both Spectre and The Force Awakens set for release later this year, Craig could have roles in two of the biggest movies of the year.
