Although 'The Hunger Games' seems to be doing an excellent job of filling the young adult movie void left by the conclusion of the 'Harry Potter' and 'Twilight' franchises, there's still plenty of room for others to rise to the occasion. Could the upcoming 'Divergent' be the next big thing? Maybe. We'll get our first inkling of what's to come with this one when the film's first footage premieres at Comic-Con 2013.

If you're at the San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday, Jul. 18 (and if you're willing to stand in line for a long time), you could attend the 'Divergent' panel and be among the first people in the world to see footage from the new movie. In addition to the footage, the panel will include actors Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller, Maggie Q, Ansel Elgort, Mekhi Phifer, Ben Lamb, Ben Lloyd-Hughes and Christian Madsen, author Veronica Roth and director Neil Burger. The plebes who don't get into the panel can still check out a 'Divergent' booth that will be set up on the main floor. And for everyone else, we'll be on hand to relay the latest updates.

Although it doesn't have the same cultural cache as 'The Hunger Games' (at least not yet), 'Divergent' should appeal to much of the same crowd. Set in a dystopian Chicago where the population has been divided into five factions that represent various virtues of humanity, the story follows a young girl who leaves the Abnegation (selflessness) faction to join Dauntless (bravery). All kinds of adventures follow, and it's a trilogy, of course.

'Divergent' will arrive in theaters on March 21, 2014. If you're not at Comic-Con, make sure to check back here for what goes down at the panel!
