Having a date meet your parents can always be a little nerve-wracking, but thankfully your dad isn't Tony Danza. If he is, as Joseph Gordon-Levitt finds out in this clip from 'Don Jon,' you'd better prepare your date beforehand ... especially if she's Scarlett Johansson.

In the first clip from Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut, Jon brings his latest squeeze, Barbara (Johansson), to meet his mom (Glenne Headley) and dad (Danza). Dad is initially unimpressed (Jon probably brings home a lot of girls), but that's only because he waits a moment to actually look at the stunning beauty. His reaction is priceless and, dare we say, understandable.

Here's hoping that the next clip we see from the film is that "Good Vibrations" sequence teased in the trailer.

If you're interested in our take on 'Don Jon' (we caught it at Sundance earlier this year), check out our review here. 'Don Jon' opens on Sep. 27 and also stars Julianne Moore, Rob Brown and Brie Larson. Here's the official synopsis:

Jon Martello (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a strong, handsome, good old fashioned guy. His buddies call him Don Jon due to his ability to "pull" a different woman every weekend, but even the finest fling doesn't compare to the bliss he finds alone in front of the computer watching pornography. Barbara Sugarman (Scarlett Johansson) is a bright, beautiful, good old fashioned girl. Raised on romantic Hollywood movies, she's determined to find her Prince Charming and ride off into the sunset. Wrestling with good old fashioned expectations of the opposite sex, Jon and Barbara struggle against a media culture full of false fantasies to try and find true intimacy in this unexpected comedy written and directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
