We've seen many a fantastically perfect casting over the years, but perhaps none more-so than this.  The moment that FOX announced it would develop an animated series around surrealist comic 'Axe Cop,' the question loomed large of who could give voice to the eponymous hero.  Now, that question has been thoroughly answered with a "Ron F$%king Swanson," as 'Parks and Recreation' star Nick Offerman has been given the role!  Want to see Offerman's 'Axe Cop' in action?

'Parks and Recreation' star Nick Offerman has finally been given the role he was born (groomed?) to play, lending his voice to the titular mustachioed hero of FOX's upcoming animated series 'Axe Cop.'  The absurdist series, which chronicles the adventures of an axe-wielding police officer and his array of sidekicks, was created in 2010 by then 5 year-old Malachai Nicolle, who supplies the stories and ideas for the comics as his adult brother Ethan Nicolle illustrates.

'Axe Cop' will air in 2013 as one of four six-episode 15 minute animated series Animation Domination HD  plans to introduce during the Saturday block’s first year on the air, as part of a new late-night special.  The original five issues of ‘Axe Cop’ were posted online on January 25, 2010 and managed to go viral in a matter of days.

Had enough?  No?  Then check out Offerman's debut as 'Axe Cop' in the first-look Halloween short below!
