New ‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’ Clip: Channing Tatum, Guns and The Rock

The big selling point in all of the trailers for 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' so far has been the action. Ninja action. Tanks action. Motorcycle-turning-into-a-missile action. However, this new clip takes a step away from all of the explosions and carnage and offers a look at stars Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Channing Tatum, who get a chance to engage in some surprisingly funny banter.

The clips finds Tatum's Duke and The Rock's Roadblock killing time in the middle of a desert base, placing bets on who can shoot a cupcake off a wooden post. If the clip didn't end with the 'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' logo, you could easily mistake it for a pseudo sequel for '21 Jump Street,' with Jonah Hill replaced by a charismatic wrestling star. The two stars have surprisingly strong chemistry with one another, making their conversation feel more natural and amusing than it has any right to be.

'G.I. Joe: Retaliation' opens on March 28th. Hopefully, the finished film will be as funny and action packed as the trailers and clips.
