There is a whole lot of unpleasant violence on Game of Thrones, which makes you wonder how the actors might cope with those intense scenes on set. Emilia Clarke (along with Arnold Schwarzenegger) recently appeared on BBC's Graham Norton Show to discuss Terminator Genisys, but she also took some time out from promoting that film to talk about her role on Game of Thrones — and the special way Jason Momoa lightened the mood on set.

In the interview clip above, Clarke talks openly about the scenes of sexual violence between Daenerys Targaryen and Momoa's Khal Drogo. Male actors typically where a special sock to cover their genitals during these scenes, but given how particularly unpleasant this one was, Momoa chose to wear something entirely different: a big, fluffy pink sock.

But even more notable in this interview is the way fellow guest Jake Gyllenhaal reacts when Clarke brings up the subject of rape:

The full episode is worth a watch if you're able to find it OnDemand, or you can check out more clips on YouTube. Clarke and model/actress Cara Delevingne also engage in a delightful eyebrow showdown, and Gyllenhaal also hilariously contributes to that.
