As 'The X-Files' flame-haired FBI Special Agent, Dana Scully, Gillian Anderson carved her initials in the hearts of fanboys everywhere, in the mid '90s.  And now with her recent admission of bisexuality to OUT magazine, a certain sect of fangirls might be swooning for the 43-year-old sci-fi icon, all over again.

Anderson, whose been married (to men) twice was quite candid about her past relationships in the interview. "I was in a relationship with a girl for a long time when I was in high school, and then I was in a relationship with a punk rock drug addict..." the star of the upcoming BBC Two series, 'The Fall' revealed.

When pressed about her past with women, Anderson didn't shy away from the bisexual association. "Yeah, yeah, well it’s... You know, I’m old enough that I can talk about that," she said.

Anderson admitted to having other relationships with women but suggested that her ability to go back to a heterosexual lifestyle proved a kind of safety net.

“If I had thought I was 100% gay, would it have been a different experience for me? Would it have been a bigger deal if shame had been attached to it and all those things that become huge life-altering issues for youngsters in that situation? It’s possible that my attitude around it came, on some level, from knowing that I still liked boys."

Either way, Anderson's cultivated a massive following of male and female sci-fi geeks of all persuasions that's sure to embrace the 'X-Files' beauty, no matter who she chooses to sleep with.  But one can still dream...
