We're certainly hoping to learn a bit more about 'Glee' season 4 when the cast shows up to this year's Comic-Con 2012, given how precious little information is available.  How much of the show will follow Rachel Berry's adventures in New York, and with whom?  How much will stick with the New Directions in Ohio?  And most importantly, what new characters will be introduced?  Fortunately, we may have an answer for one of those...

TVLine reports that former 'American Idol' contestant and ultimate runner-up Jessica Sanchez is in talks to join the fourth season of FOX's musical smash 'Glee' for a recurring role.  No official details have been released of who or where the character would be, though the plan seems to be to introduce the character midway through the first half of the season, after Sanchez completes her 'American Idol' tours.

One good fit for the 16-year old Sanchez might be one of the new series regulars we know being cast, that of a high school girl.  Others include a new male character in his 20s, and the part of Puck's younger, guitar-playing brother.  What else remains confirmed about ‘Glee’ season 4 is that former ‘Sex and the City’ star Sarah Jessica Parker will have a role, along with actress Kate Hudson.  Unknown is whether either will play themselves, or which location of the show they call home.

Sanchez became an early front-runner for 'American Idol' season 11, though later in the Top 7 week Sanchez recieved the least votes.  The judges promptly vetoed America’s decision by using their sole “save” of the season.  As TVLine recounts, Sanchez then went on to steal the show during the 'Idol' finale by virtue of a jaw-dropping duet with Broadway legend Jennifer Holliday on the 'Dreamgirls' classic “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.”

What say you?  Do you think Sanchez has what it takes to join the cast of 'Glee' season 4?  Tell us what you're hoping to see from the re-vamped series in the comments!
