[UPDATE - Apologies to all who didn't see it, but the video has been removed.]

Two summers ago, the first 'Godzilla' trailer stomped into Hall H, giving the buzzing crowd a first look at Gareth Edwards' upcoming reboot. That same footage was re-screened at this year's festivities, along with a brand-new, more in-depth trailer. While we can't show you the latter, the former has hit the web in full-on HD.

Are you ready for a glimpse at the "destroyer of worlds"? While those in attendance at Comic-Con 2013's Godzilla Encounter (an interactive experience into the history of the beast) got to stare down the latest Godzilla incarnation face-to-face, this first 'Godzilla' trailer (via io9) shows off what 'Godzilla' writer Frank Darabont calls a "terrifying force of nature" through all the smoke and wreckage.

As excited as many of us are to see this iconic monster tackle the big screen once again, however, it will not be the only creature we encounter. Confirmed through the footage screened at Comic-Con this year, Godzilla will be going head-to-head against other monsters. Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures describes the film thusly:

An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

'Godzilla' features Bryan Cranston, Aaron Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins and David Strathairn among its human cast, and will trample into theaters May 16, 2014.
