While a number of NBC viewers still find themselves inside the darkest timeline, a world where NBC pushes 'Community' back to February, and slots 'Whitney's second season in with the network's increasingly three-camera lineup, it seems 'Guys With Kids' isn't going anywhere quite yet.  The peacock has officially ordered additional episodes of the Jimmy Fallon-produced series, though not quite for a full-season pickup.  So, how many more episodes will we see, and why isn't 'Whitney' going to be of any help?

Sunglasses and Baby Bjorns must be all the rage at NBC, now that 'Guys With Kids' has made it through to an additional episode order.  According to Deadline, the network has ordered in additional four episodes to comprise the show's first season, bringing the episode total from 13 to 17 as opposed to a full 22.

No hit with the critics, the Jimmy Fallon-produced comedy did however manage to keep its even viewership last night with at  1.3 adults 18-49 rating last night.  Last night's episode was preceded by the return of 'Whitney' which failed to garner ratings much higher than the now-cancelled 'Animal' Practice,' which the Whitney Cummings sitcom had been slotted in to replace.

'Guys With Kids' Joins 'Go On' and 'The New Normal' as the NBC fall comedies to make it past their initial orders, though the former two received full back-9 orders.  Tell us if you think 'Guys With Kids' deserved more episodes in the comments!
