Wes Anderson released
The Grand Budapest Hotel, but fans of the director (Fandersons? Is that a thing?) will have to wait a little longer to see his next film.
Isle of Dogs doesn’t hit theaters until next spring, but we’ll have the first trailer tomorrow — until then, Fox Searchlight has released a brief teaser to get you ready for Anderson’s new stop-motion animated film.

As you can see, the teaser doesn’t reveal much — it’s just a guy, presumably in Japan (where the film is set), pasting up posters for Isle of Dogs. The meta teaser does give us a sense of the film’s stop-motion animation style, which looks a little different than Anderson’s previous animated effort, Fantastic Mr. Fox.

Isle of Dogs centers on a boy’s odyssey to find his missing dog, and features a predictably awesome voice cast headlined by Edward Norton as a dog named Rex. The film also stars Anderson vets Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum, F. Murray Abraham, Tilda Swinton, Harvey Keitel, Frances McDormand and Bob Balaban, along with newbies Bryan Cranston, Scarlett Johansson, Greta Gerwig, Kunichi Nomura, Akira Ito, Akira Takayama, Koyu Rankin, Yoko Ono (!), Courtney B. Vance, and Liev Schreiber.

The first trailer will arrive sometime tomorrow. Isle of Dogs hits theaters on March 23, 2018.
