Johnny Depp won the Generations award at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards and as part of his acceptance speech, you can watch actor Johnny Depp perform live with rockers The Black Keys!

Johnny Depp is showing his more musical side as of late -- first he recorded a cover of 'You're So Vain' with shock-rocker Marilyn Manson, and tonight he joined The Black Keys on stage at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.

Depp and The Black Keys performed their hit song "Gold on the Ceiling," which recently gained attention with a music video directed by the reliably controversial Harmony Korine.

But that wasn't all. The Black Keys followed up this awesome performance with an encore -- their previous radio hit, "Lonely Boy." Unfortunately, MTV cut that performance off with a commercial break, but you can watch video of the "Gold on the Ceiling" performance featuring Johnny Depp below.

Depp is also being presented with MTV's Generation award tonight, honoring his decades-long acting career because people who watch MTV have never lived in a world without Johnny Depp. How nice for them.
