'Justified' breakout Boyd Crowder may have been scripted to die in the very first episode of the FX gunslinger drama, but Walton Goggins' smarmy portrayal of the Harlan county outlaw kept the character going as a series staple to present day. That may leave some 'Justified' fans worried however, as Goggins has begun developing FOX police drama 'Gringo' with 'The Shield' vet Adam Fierro.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, FOX's 'Gringo' will follow an American cop moving south of the border with his Mexican wife, and ending up caught in the crossfire of drug cartel wars. Both Goggins and 'The Shield' writer Adam Fierro will pen the pilot script for 'Gringo,' also executive producing the pilot, though currently Goggins has no plans for a starring role in the drama. Breathe easy, Boyd Crowder fans.

Elsewhere, little is known of FX's plans for 'Justified' season 5, though Goggins will indeed reprises his series regular role as Boyd Crowder. The next run debuting in 2014 will see Boyd desperate to get Ava out of prison, putting revenge on Lee Paxon (‘LOST‘s’ Sam Anderson), Sheriff Mooney and Johnny Crowder (David Meunier) on the back burner. Raylan too will have his own career to worry about, as well as the birth of his daughter, which showrunner Graham Yost confirmed would most likely come to fruition in season 5, given the show’s relatively compressed timeline.

Well, what say you? Does Walton Goggins' involvement in a new FOX drama pique your interest? What would you like to see the 'Justified' star get into next?
