Amazon’s Man in the High Castle counts itself among the many series that became unexpectedly topical after 2016 elections, and its newest star should inspire at least some Patriot-ism. Jason O’Mara becomes a major new player for Season 3, but whose side is he on?

Per Deadline, the erstwhile Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Patriot and Terra Nova star joins The Man in the High Castle Season 3 as “a new male lead character” for the period sci-fi drama. Here’s the full description, which seemingly lets O’Mara keep his accent for a change:

Irish-born O’Mara will play the rugged Wyatt Price, a new male lead character opposite Alexa Davalos, Rupert Evans and Rufus Sewell. Fleeing the war in Europe, Price’s family immigrated to New York from Ireland as refugees, then fled west again ahead of the Nazi invasion. Like most in the Neutral Zone, he’s learned to survive as a hustler, trading in various black market goods and services. But he’s more than just a survivor – he believes in what America was and what the Neutral Zone still is – a melting pot worth saving.

For those unfamiliar, Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle adapts a Philip K. Dick novel to imagine a 1962 wherein the United States lost World War II, and was subsequently divided between the German “Greater Nazi Reich,” and the “Japanese Pacific States.” The series stars Alexa Davalos, Rufus Sewell, Rupert Evans, Luke Kleintank, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and DJ Qualls.
