The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly contains a sizable 'Man of Steel' feature, as well as Henry Cavill's Superman on the cover. Best of all, the mag is bringing us seven new images from the film, including looks at Zod (Michael Shannon) and Jor-El (Russell Crowe); you can see the whole batch after the break!

Unfortunately, we don't have high-res versions of the pics just yet (special thanks to SlashFilm for nabbing them from the iPad edition of the issue), but you'll be able to get the general idea from what we have to show. In addition to Zod and Jor-El, we have fresh peeks at Amy Adams' Lois Lane, Kevin Costner and Diane Lane as Pa and Ma Kent, and Antje Traue's Faora, as well as a first look at Laurence Fishburne's Perry White.

As was previously revealed, Kryptonite, of course Supes' greatest weakness, will not be present in the film, thanks to it being the biggest cliche in the superhero's mythology. (Remember, this is the "dark and realistic" take.) Should be interesting to see if there's an outrage over this omission, but our guess is, if the movie is as good as we're hoping it will be, no one will mind very much.

'Man of Steel' opens on June 14.
