‘Man Seeking Woman’ Season 2 Red-Band Trailer: Santa Takes The Train, and Not How You Hope
Quietly under appreciated through 2014 came the first season of FXX’s Jay Baruchel-fronted Man Seeking Woman, a delightfully absurdist romp through the perils (and penis monsters) of dating. Those extremes aren’t getting any easier to swallow in the Season 2 red-band trailer, in which coal from Santa should be the least of your worries.
Living sex dolls, government agents, Fred Armisen as Jesus, and an unusually naughty Santa Claus are just some of what’s in store for the Man Seeking Woman Season 2 trailer, which drops more F-bombs than you’d expect to hear from basic cable. Premiering on January 6, the new season’s synopsis reads thusly:
The surreal new season about the life-and-death stakes of dating will follow Josh Greenberg as he soldiers through foolish texts, awkward dates, cloning disasters, man-on-car sex, hundreds of deaths, and worst of all, a season-long love triangle with his best friend.
For those unfamiliar, FXX’s Man Seeking Woman draws from SNL writer Simon Rich’s book The Last Girlfriend on Earth, starring Baruchel as Josh Greenberg, along with comedian Eric André as best friend Mike and Britt Lower as Josh’s older sister Liz.
