Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is the first major movie release in theaters since the pandemic started. The film grossed $20 million domestically during its opening weekend, but earned over twice that number overseas. Obviously, Tenet is performing better in countries where coronavirus isn’t running rampant. But this isn’t the first case where a movie has performed significantly better internationally than stateside.
