‘Power Rangers’ Clip: A Bunch of Teens Mess Around with a Spaceship
You know when you’re taking a walk with your friends, and you find a spaceship buried underground, and you go inside for a look around, and then the front door vanishes and you’re attacked by a 2-foot-tall robot? You don’t? Well, these kids in Power Rangers sure do, in this new clip from the movie that, shockingly, is still coming out later this month.
In the clip, Trini, Kim, Jason, Zack, and Billy stumble upon a spacecraft that’s seemingly been hidden underground in Angel Grove for thousands of years. The ship seems to have a mind of its own, moving its walls around after the kids make their way inside, and it also seems to be inhabited by a tiny saucer-headed robot (Alpha-5) who yanks one of the kids out of her hiding place while exclaiming, “You’re real!” Guess he’s heard of them. The kids have been “chosen by destiny” to save the world, so it looks like Alpha-5 has been hiding here all this time to wait for them.
Saban’s Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove – and the world – is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it’s too late, band together as the Power Rangers.
Power Rangers hits theaters March 24.
