Watch ‘Preacher’ With Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Commentary
The comedic talents of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg may not always have a guiding hand in AMC’s Preacher, though the pilot more than carried some visceral influence. If you don’t believe us, take it from pair themselves, as AMC released the Preacher pilot with Rogen and Goldberg’s commentary!
You’ll still need a cable provider to access the the episode, though the promise of Rogen and Goldberg’s insight is more than worth it. In the meantime, Preacher will rerun its pilot this coming Sunday, followed by Chris Hardwick’s aptly named Talking Preacher, with new episode “See” bowing on June 5.
In addition to Dominic Cooper’s titular role as Jesse Custer, the cast of AMC’s Preacher includes Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. veteran Ruth Negga as Tulip, Misfits star Joseph Gilgun as Irish vampire Cassidy, Jackie Earle Haley as Odin Quincannon, Ian Colletti as Eugene “Arseface” Root, W. Earl Brown as Arseface’s father, Elizabeth Perkins as Vyla Quinncannon, True Blood vamp Lucy Griffiths, along with Jamie Anne Allman and Derek Wilson as Betsy and Donny Schenck.
For those unfamiliar with the 1990s comic series from Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon, AMC’s official description of Preacher reads:
“Preacher” is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
