'Forgetting Sarah Marshall' and 'Get Him to the Greek' funnyman Russell Brand is heading back to the big screen. Brand, whose marriage to Katy Perry lasted longer than anyone could have possibly imagined (two weeks) will be starring in another comedy.

Brand is in early talks to star in 'Pierre Pierre,' a new raunchy comedy by Larry Charles, according to Variety. The movie "follows an obnoxious French nihilist (Brand) who transports a stolen painting from Paris to London. Along the way he crosses paths with a French police inspector, a serial killer named Pigeonsh*t and his own brothel-owning mother."

The script was acquired in 2008 for a cool million. It was going to star Jim Carrey with Jason Reitman directing but that never happened. Brand has been a busy boy lately with his FX series 'Brand X with Russell Brand.' He's also going to be appearing in Diablo Cody's directorial debut (no title yet), a voice role in 'Despicable Me 2' and 'The Hauntrepreneur' for Paramount Pictures.

Brand is currently seeing Jordana Brewster's sister, which has nothing to do with this story but makes for interesting water cooler talk when you've run out of things to say about 'Pierre Pierre.'
