The Disney Channel's long-running 'Phineas and Ferb' has managed some impressive guest stars and tribute episodes in recent years, but its latest get is a slice of fried gold. Ten years after its release, 'Shaun of the Dead' stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have announced that iconic zombie-killers Ed and Shaun will return in animated form for a forthcoming Halloween special of 'Phineas and Ferb.'

Though we don't yet know the full details of the special, Simon Pegg himself announced the news of his and Frost's return to their 'Shaun of the Dead' roles over Twitter:

Most recently, 'Phineas and Ferb' garnered acclaim for their take on a 'Star Wars' special, something Pegg has also been linked with of late, with rumors pointing toward a role in J.J. Abrams' new 'Star Wars' trilogy. Are we drawing meaningless connections and conspiracy theories for the Jedi Illuminati? You betcha!

In any case, the 'Phineas and Ferb' Halloween special will hit sometime this October, and we'll all meet for a pint at the Winchester to celebrate.
