Sleepwalking is a dangerous disorder, as evidenced by the first trailer for Mike Birbiglia's critically acclaimed new indie flick 'Sleepwalk With Me,' a late coming-of-age story about stand-up and settling down.

The film earned heaps of praise when it premiered earlier this year at the Sundance Film Festival, followed by an equally enamored response at SXSW in Austin, Texas.

Based on Mike Birbiglia's one-man show, 'Sleepwalk With Me' tells the story of Mike (as himself... sort of?), a stand-up comedian struggling to kick-start his career or make a marital commitment to his girlfriend of eight long years (Lauren Ambrose). And then comes the sleepwalking, an issue Mike avoids confronting until it results in some physical (but hilarious) harm.

'Sleepwalk With Me' co-stars some insane talent, like the aforementioned Ambrose, David Wain, Wyatt Cenac, Carol Kane, James Rebhorn, Kristen Schaal and Marc Maron. The film is even endorsed by Judd Apatow -- the king of the late coming-of-age, man-child narrative. What else do you need to convince you to see this movie? Perhaps a kick in the teeth? We don't want to get physical over this, but trust us, you really should make 'Sleepwalk With Me' a priority in your life... and the lives of everyone you know, of appropriate age, of course.

The film hits theaters August 24.
