On Monday night, Sony finally showed off the PlayStation 4 console. After months of hype, did the little black box meet expectations?

Oddly enough, a lot was made of Sony not showing off the PS4 hardware during its February event. We all knew it would be some kind of black box, as most of Sony's consoles in the past have been.

When it was finally shown off, we were treated to a stylishly slanted little console, with interesting sheen and matte highlights. Sure, the PlayStation 4 looks a little like its rival console, the Xbox One, but it's also got a few nice aesthetic tricks of its own.

More on the PS4 design should be revealed during the remainder of E3, but now that you've seen the console, what are your thoughts? Too similar to the Xbox One, or slick and pretty?
