While we don't quite know exactly what 'Spartacus: Vengeance' will look like as it evolves into a third season (or even what subtitle it might take, if any), we've got a good bead on how the story will progress, our main villains, and now, a bevy of beautiful babies occupying the screen, some of whom Joss Whedon fans might recognize...

Starz today announced the casting of not one, but three women of the currently-shooting third season of 'Spartacus,' previously 'Spartacus: Vengeance,' previously 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand.'  Joining the cast for round 3 (or 3.5, including 'Gods of the Arena') are 'Cabin in the Woods' actress Anna Hutchinson, as well as Australia and New Zealand actresses Jenna Lind and Gwendoline Taylor.

According to the press release, Hutchison will play "Laeta," the privileged wife of a Roman dignitary who becomes entangled in the struggle against Spartacus, and, "her life and those of the ones she loves are forever changed by the conflict."  Lind will take the role of "Kore," a loyal slave to Marcus Crassus whose deep feelings for her master will be sorely tested, while Taylor will play "Sibyl," a beautiful young slave rescued from Roman cruelty.

Huchinson is also known for her roles in 'Shortland Street' and 'Underbelly, 'Wild Boys,' and as Amy Smart (no, not that one) in 'Go Girls.' Jenna Lind has been seen in 'Underbelly II' and '30 Seconds,' while Gwendoline Taylor, was also recently features in 'Go Girls.'  The three roles will undoubtedly fill the void left by three departing (read: deadzo) female roles from the previous season, that of Katrina Law, Lucy Lawless and Viva Bianca.

Along with the women, 'Spartacus' season 3 will also feature the introduction of two major villains, that of Marcus Crassus (Simon Merrells), with a young Julius Caesar (Todd Lasance) by his side.

What do you think?  Will these 3 bodacious babes be able to make up for the loss of nearly all the show's leading ladies last season?  What do you most want to see when 'Spartacus' returns?  Give us your thoughts in the comments!
