In what might be one of the final nails in MTV's critically-acclaimed, yet surprisingly-cancelled indie comedy 'I Just Want My Pants Back,' it would seem that one of its leads is trading in 'Pants' for 'Suits.'  Actress Elisabeth Hower has just picked up a recurring gig on USA's hit series, one that may preclude any possibility of 'Pants' being revived from cancellation.  But if Hower won't be putting on 'Pants' anymore, who will she play on USA?

According to TVLine, former 'I Just Want My Pants Back' Actress Elisabeth Hower will be suiting up for USA's 'Suits,' said to begin a multi-episode role the culminates with the show's mid-season finale on August 23.  Hower will play Tess, a childhood friend of Mike’s (Patrick J. Adams) who "turns up just when he needs her most."  Descriptive!

Presumably, Hower's recurring casting on 'Suits' puts former series 'I Just Want My Pants Back' further at rest, which despite positive critical reception and solid ratings failed to garner a second season on MTV.  Disillusioned fans even took to bombarding the Viacom offices with pants as a sign of protest on the show's cancellation, but seemingly to no avail.

What say you?  Do you think there's any hope for 'I Just Want My Pants Back,' or is Elisabeth Hower better-tailored for 'Suits?'  Sound off in the comments below!
