Ask, and ye shall receive!  Earlier today we caught our first glimpse of footage from 'Supernatural' season 8 in a short CW promo, before the spot burnt out in a "buffering" joke.  Well, Chuck has rewarded our patience with a full-length trailer for the Winchester's eighth year!  So what secrets does the new trailer reveal, and how much has changed since 'Supernatural's cliffhanger-y season finale?

Break out the Borax and holy water, 'Supernatural' fans, because Sam and Dean Winchester are back and ready for blood.  Zap2It has the first official trailer for 'Supernatural' season 8, which sees the iconic brothers re-united after one full year spent apart, Dean having battled the creatures of Purgatory while Sam moved on with his life.  But where's dear old Castiel in all of this?

The happy reunion is short-lived however, as they learn from the prophet Kevin (Osric Chau) that another tablet from "The Word of God" has the power to banish demons and close the gates of Hell forever!  Yeah, it's kind of important.  Crowley (Mark Sheppard), and more than a few demons are likely to attempt to get their hands on it.

Additionally, ‘Supernatural’ season 8 will see the return of DJ Qualls’ eccentric  hunter Garth, as well as ‘Futurama’ voice Lauren Tom.  ‘Battlestar Galactica’ veteran Ty Olsson will appear in the recurring role of a vampire named “Benny,” whom Dean meets during his stay in purgatory and ultimately helps him escape from said predicament.  Liane Balaban (‘Alphas,’ ‘Covert Affairs’) will appear as Sam’s new love interest Amelia, developed in the time the brothers spent separated.
