Where there’s smoke, there’s often fire in the world of TV cancellations, and it seems Girl has officially met it. Girl Meets World will formally end after its final Season 3 episodes in January, according to the show’s writers.
Boy Meets World revival Girl Meets World garnered ample praise in its own right, though recent reports from franchise star Rider Strong seemingly confirmed that 2017 would end the series outright. Girl writers aren’t so quick to write things off, however, claiming “there is no official word as yet.”
The classic Boy Meets World may have lasted a full seven seasons in its ‘90s-2000 heyday, but sitcom lifespans are very different on the 2010-era Disney Channel. After some three full seasons, Girl Meets World might have officially come to an end, at least according to star Rider Strong.
