Now that Penny Dreadful Season 3 has formally premiered, Showtime summer will kick off and don the brass knuckles in time for Liev Schreiber’s return in Ray Donovan Season 4. Don’t believe us? Showtime put to rest the sixth season of Shameless this past Sunday, as it will the first run of Billions this coming weekend, and two of its other biggest hits have lined up with new trailers. Take a new look at the third run of ever-psychosexual Penny Dreadful, along with a new trailer and poster for Season 4 of Ray Donovan.

As always, Showtime had plenty to say by their TCA press tour presentation, just just Homeland’s move to New York City, but also an official Season 7 renewal for Shameless, and premiere outlines for House of Lies Season 5, Penny Dreadful Season 3, even Ray Donovan Season 4. Poor Leonardo DiCaprio may never get that Oscar, but would an Emmy suffice? The ubiquitous Scorsese star has set his sights on TV, developing a new 1980s gangster drama with Showtime, exploring Wall Street’s influence on the mafia and law enforcement alike.

Seemingly brothers and sisters and arms, where Showtime’s Masters of Sex goes, Ray Donovan will follow. The sexual revolution drama and Liev Schrieber’s L.A. fixer will return arm-in-arm for 2016, as Showtime has officially renewed both dramas for a fourth season.

Just in time for the Fourth of July weekend, Showtime had a few extra explosions to spare for Masters of Sex and Ray Donovan Season 3. Before the official July 12 premiere, both summer series have released their full debut episodes online.

Showtime surprised relatively few in getting in on the cord-cutting game with its own independent streaming service, aptly-enough titled “Showtime,” though now the (former) pay-cable network has taken things one step further to create a Hulu bundle.

TV has become increasingly on-demand, to the point even HBO caved on a cord-cutting solution, and now Showtime has followed suit. The premium cable network has announced a July launch for its new online streaming subscription, and one cheaper than HBO’s option at that.

Summer is nearly upon us again, and with it Showtime trots out its Masters of Sex and Ray Donovan for a third year. Both will occupy their usual summer slots, but where Masters of Sex has added The Good Wife castoff Josh Charles for Season 3, Ray Donovan already has a bevy of new trailers, showcasing cast additions Katie Holmes and Deadwood alum Ian McShane.
