Recently moving itself up to Halloween, the impending crossover of Bones and Sleepy Hollow has already left more than a few fans scratching their heads. We may finally have answers as to what brings Ichabod, Abbie, Booth and Brennan together, but what game either producers such an insane idea?

Not that either couldn’t use the publicity, but the notion of FOX’s supernatural Sleepy Hollow crossing over with the science-minded Bones struck an odd note for fans of either series. The network had originally though to stage the two-hour event later in the season, perhaps even 2016, but has apparently gotten jazzed up enough to move the crossover as early as Halloween.

The third season of FOX’s Sleepy Hollow has already undergone a bit of course-correction to reclaim its first season fervor, and it seems the next set of Bones Icabod and Abbie encounter will belong to Booth and Brennan. Over the last month, networks have slowly rolled out their roster of schedules and premieres, leaving FOX to finally get in on the game. Find out when when headliners like Gotham and Bones return, along with all of FOX’s new series and a frightfully large debut for Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens.

Summer winds blow west to Comic-Con 2015, and while 20th Century Fox aren’t the first TV holdings to confirm their presence, they’re certainly the biggest yet. American Horror Story, The Simpsons, The Last Man on Earth and many more have all thrown in their hats for the San Diego madness of Comic-Con 2015.

Amid the myriad of FOX’s pickups and surprising cancellations, the network has also taken its 2015 Upfront presentation to file out Mulder and Scully’s TV return. FOX breakout Sleepy Hollow went through something of a rough patch in Season 2, just barely eking out a third season renewal under a new showrunner. Now, so called “Sleepyhead” fans have yet another reason to lose their heads, as Orlando Jones will reportedly leave the series before Season 3.
