Todd Phillips may be branching out soon, as word is that he's now in talks to direct a remake of 'The Gambler,' the 1974 film written by James Toback about a Harvard professor with a serious addiction to betting.

'The Hangover' series of films have been two of the most financially successful comedies to ever hit the big screen. The first movie that came out in 2009 was a surprise hit, and a sequel quickly followed in 2011. Now there's a third 'Hangover' in the works, and co-star Ken Jeong will be featured in an expanded role.

Todd Phillips keeps busy. He's currently working on 'The Hangover Part III,' recently teamed with Danny McBride for a project, and has just hired Mark and Jay Duplass to adapt the novel 'Mule.' The latter would be about a young couple who go into the drug running business because the recession.

Danny McBride has been on a comedy roll for the last few years and it appears as if his raunchy comedic style isn't going anywhere, having just signed to do a remake of a popular Danish television show.

Though the response to 'The Hangover Part II' was tepid, the film made $581 million worldwide, which meant that a third film was all but assured. Warner Brothers confirmed that certainty today with a new release date for 'The Hangover Part 3' plus word from director Todd Phillips told that it will be the series finale.

Oh, Texas. According to local news affiliate KHOU in Houston, Texas, thirteen kids were arrested for vandalizing a $500,000 vacant home. The damage included broken windows, doors torn off hinges, and busted sheetrock. And all this was inspired by a movie?

Love it or hate it (hate seems to be the only valid response), 'Project X' did incredibly well in theaters -- so well, in fact, that according to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. has commissioned a sequel from screenwriter Michael Bacall.
