Jubilee is one of the more wildly divisive characters from X-Men — you either love or loathe her to pieces. Throughout five X-Men films and a few spinoffs, Jubilee has never really been featured, although she did put in some very minor appearances in the first few films. That’s all changing now as director Bryan Singer has cast newcomer Lana Condor as Jubilee for X-Men: Apocalypse.

Earlier today, we reported the rumor that not only has Captain Marvel been cast, but she’ll be making her first appearance in the already superhero-heavy Avengers: Age of Ultron. Having major superheroes make cameos or debut in other films from their respective studios has become the norm, so it’s hardly surprising to hear that X-Men: Apocalypse — which is said to primarily focus on the First Class cast — will feature a few cameos from other X-Men…including one pretty exciting mutant in particular.

This isn’t exactly surprising news, since it’s been speculated for some time now that Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy might be making X-Men: Apocalypse their last outing with the franchise. Lawrence and Fassbender in particular are in increasingly high demand (and they aren’t particularly cheap, either), so it makes sense that either or both of them wouldn’t want to remain tied to the franchise for much longer. Lawrence has confirmed as much in a new interview, putting the speculation to rest once and for all.

Before the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Hugh Jackman said that he was pretty positive that he wouldn’t be playing Wolverine much longer. But now that the actor is appearing in X-Men: Apocalypse and starring in a third Wolverine solo film — which will mark his ninth time playing the hero on screen — he seems to have changed his tune. Jackman says he wants to play Wolverine forever, and with that attitude and his massive appeal, Fox just might let him.

One of the highlights of Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past was Quicksilver’s big, slow-mo action sequence. X-Men: Apocalypse is continuing the tradition of recasting classic X-Men as younger characters (Sophie Turner as Jean Grey and Tye Sheridan as Cyclops), so it should be no surprise that another fan favorite is getting recast. Director Bryan Singer announced on Instagram that Kodi Smit-McPhee (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) has signed on to star as Nightcrawler, a sleazy Hollywood paparazzi who will stop at nothing to get his shot. Last week, The Hollywood Reporter reported (hence their name) that the cast was starting to come together for Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool movie. Haywire star Gina Carano joined the film as a mutant named Angel Dust, while it was also revealed that the character of Colossus would appear as well. No actor was given for that role, and I’d originally assumed the part would probably be played by Daniel Cudmore, who first filled the oversized boots of the Russian, metal-skinned mutant in X2 before appearing again in X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past. But now Cudmore has ruined that prediction on Twitter:
