We've been getting excited about rapper RZA's directorial debut, 'The Man With the Iron Fists,' which he stars in and co-wrote with the film's producer Eli Roth, and now Universal has set an official release date for this fall. It's so close we can almost feel it!

According to Deadline, 'The Man With the Iron Fists' will hit theaters on November 2, 2012. The film is also produced by Quentin Tarantino (who did a similar homage with 'Kill Bill') and marks the first directorial gig for the the Wu-Tang Clan's RZA. The RZA's real name is Robert Fitzgerald Diggs, though as a rapper he's also gone by Prince Rakeem, The Scientist , The Abbot, Rzarector, Bobby Digital, Bobby Steels, Prince Dynamite, Prince Delight, and Ruler Zig-Zag-Zig Allah.

The film follows a blacksmith in a rural village, who must put down his tools and pick up his weapons to defend his fellow people from an invading force. The trailer, which we posted some time ago, looks very promising. The film co-stars Russell Crowe and Jamie Chung. It's a project that's been in the works for years, and we're more stoked than ever to see the end result.

Between this and Tarantino's upcoming 'Django Unchained' (slated for a Christmas release, should they not lose any more cast members), it's turning out to be a holiday season filled with Tarantino-approved, action-packed delights.
