You'd think it would be difficult to continue writing love interests for a perpetual 10-year-old, but eat our shorts if 'The Simpsons' doesn't find ways to make it adorkable. We already knew that 'New Girl' star and all around manic pixie dream girl poster-child Zooey Deschanel would reprise her role as Mary Spuckler for 'The Simpsons' season 24 premiere (along with a host of other past girlfriends), but what's this about another return appearance? And what other famous voices are joining the fray?

According to new reports from TVLine, Zooey Deschanel will put in a return appearance as her character Mary Spuckler, daughter to Cletus and one-time love interest for Bart for the show's 24th season. We're not talking about her appearance alongside other past love interests Anne Hathaway, Sarah Silverman, Natalie Portman and Sarah Michelle Gellar in 'The Simpsons' season 24 premiere "Moonshine River," mind you, but rather another appearance in the show's 2013 Valentine's Day episode "Love is a Many-Splintered Thing!"

Deschanel isn't the only famous voice to make itself heard during the V-Day outing, as former Conan O’Brien bandleader Max Weinberg and noted political biographer Robert A. Caro will both appear as themselves. As we previously observed, 'Star Trek 2' baddie and 'Sherlock' star Benedict Cumberbatch will also lend his voice in a dual role.

What say you? Are you excited to have more of Zooey Deschanel in 'The Simpsons' upcoming season? Could Mary become a more permanent love interest of Bart's, or will she be forgotten by season 30? Give us your take in the comments below!
