We're already well aware that 'Transformers 4' is going to be something of a reboot of the insanely successful franchise. Gone is Shia LaBeouf and the rest of the human cast in favor of a new set of characters and, from what has been implied, a new array of Transformers as well (it's also probably taking place in outer space). Specific story details are under wraps, but if what we're reading today proves to be true, then it looks like we'll have our first female lead in the series. After the break for more!

Spoiler TV has revealed the following regarding the fourquel's current casting search: "It looks like Transformers 4 will have 2 new leads. The new female lead that they are looking for is a high school senior and her boyfriend a Texas racing driver."

Unfortunately, that's all we get, but if Paramount Pictures and director Michael Bay are actively in the process of auditioning actors, then we'll likely begin to hear more in the not too distant future. Now we can speculate on whether Bay and co. are looking for complete unknowns to play the young lovebirds, or if they'll attempt to wrangle a couple of recognizable names.

'Transformers 4' is eying a June 27, 2014 release.
