The Walking Dead pulled few punches with 2016 closer “Hearts Still Beating,” but we’ll have to wait until 2017 to see Rick and co. finally standing up to Negan. Our first trailer for the 2017 return has arrived, as everyone from Alexandria, to The Kingdom to Hilltop finally prepares to strike back against the Saviors.

AMC promises that Rick will finally “Rise Up” in the first 2017 trailer, after half a season of allowing Negan and his cohorts to trample all over everyone, sometimes fatally. And while the final episode of the year didn’t feature Ezekiel himself, it looks like Rick and the other Alexandrians will somehow make it to the Kingdom to plead their case.

Of course, Negan won’t be the only threat when The Walking Dead Season 7 returns in February, as we saw post-credits that another mysterious watcher followed Rick and Aaron back to Alexandria from that walker lake.

We’ll have a full review of “Hearts Still Beating” before long, but in the meantime, check out the trailer above, and stay tuned for the latest.
