‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Photos Reveal a Struggle Across Time
It was only Thursday that Fox announced the first 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' trailer will drop online this coming Tuesday, October 29, and now we have more of a preview than just a six-second-long teaser. Get a load of the new photos, featuring the ultimate mutant team-up.
UPDATE: Now with even more photos below!
'X-Men: Days of Future Past' takes its name and general storyline from the classic comic book arch, which sees a future overrun by the mutant-hunting Sentinel robots created by Bolivar Trask (played in the film by 'Game of Thrones' fan favorite Peter Dinklage). To prevent this future from ever occurring, the X-Men of the future send back Wolverine (Hugh Jackman reprising his role for the seventh time onscreen) to warn the 'X-Men: First Class'-era mutants of the life-altering moment that sets everything into motion.
Empire Magazine released a batch of new 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' photos, highlighting a few moments to come, including the now 'X-Men' movie staple of Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) duking it out on the chess board. But, since there's time travel involved, we're gonna get to see the original duo, played by Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. Of course, Wolverine is also never without some fast-healing bullet wounds.
'X-Men: Days of Future Past' hits theaters May 24, 2014, and check back this Tuesday to see the first trailer in full.
