We've known for some time that 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' would feature the mutant-hunting Sentinel robots, since Fox creative consultant Mark Millar let the news slip back in February. Since then, Peter Dinklage has revealed he'll be playing the inventor of these insidious monsters in the film and a recent viral campaign has already started teasing them. But now, director Bryan Singer has shared an image that tells us two very cool things about the Sentinels as they'll be seen in the film. First, they actually built one for the movie. Second, they will be huge!

Singer shared an up-close look at one of these Sentinels on his Twitter profile, using his own body to let us know just how massive they will be. As you can see in the photo below, Mr. Singer barely reaches the robot's knees:

Although we're sure that the Sentinels will be aided by CGI in the finished film, how cool is it to see a practical effect this huge? After all, a giant CGI robot will just be a giant CGI robot, but a 20-foot-tall practical robot seems way more astounding. You have won additional points in our book, 'X-Men: Days of Future Past.'

Singer has been consistently unveiling exciting and strange images from his Twitter feed. In case you missed it yesterday, he gave us this odd shot of Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence) taking down a foe with some pretty serious leg-fu. In other words, following the director on Twitter is your access for the latest updates on the film.
